then we obtain that

c=p2-1                                       .............(3)

for real value

by the quadratic formula

D= b^2-4(a)(c)

substituting the value of (1)(2)&(3)

D= (2)^2-4(1)(p2-1 )

where  D<0

so

4-4(p2-1)<0

4-4p2+4<0

8-4p2<0

4p2<8

p2<8/2

p2<4

p<root under 4/2

p<2
