Seriously, there aren't any tricks - and on the contrary, solving bunches of questions is the best way to get used to them - try solving easier questions orally.

Some integral formulae can be derived, such as, for \frac{1}{\sqrt{1 - x^2}} put x = sint. Proceeding and substituting the value of x in the final result (which should be t + c), you'll get sin^{-1}x + c.

For other stuff, like if you know tanx's integration, solving cotx's integration - you can substitute x with \frac{\pi}{2} - x.

You can also try using the limit-of-sum technique, but that is way too much work, and in an exam, it'd be better to skip the question for later than do it that way (if the exam has a time constraint).

Again, the best way is to solve indefinite integration's questions.

NCERT has good exercises for that. Try them orally (most of them should be do-able with minimal requirement of writing anything).

For me, practice and derivations - and particularly derivations - have helped.
