No velocity also known as instantaneous velocity is a vector quantity that means velocity has both magnitude and direction but speed also known as instantaneous speed is a scalar quantity that means it has only magnitude not direction.
Speed is the magnitude of velocity.
Note-Whatever is true for velocity and speed that need not be true for average velocity and average speed.
