(x+y) ³=x³+y³+3x²y+3xy²

in qn its given that (x+y) ³=x³+y³

but by multiplying (x+y) (x+y) (x+y) = (x+y) ³ =x³+y³+3x²y+3xy²

therefore assumption is wrong
