If x = (-4)

Putting the value of x in the below equation....

2x {}^{2}  + 5x - 12 = 0

2( - 4) {}^{2}  + 5( - 4) - 12 = 0

2 \times 16 - 20 - 12 = 0

32 - 20 - 12 = 0

32 - 32 = 0

As the answer is zero, Therefore (-4) is the solution.
