y = x + 7 is in the form of ax + by + c = 0

it is Linear equation in two variables

x and y .So, it represents a straight line .

ii )Given ,

y = x + 7

- x + y = 7

divide each term with 7 both sides,

we get ,

x/( - 7 ) + y/7 = 1 compare with

x/a + y/b = 1 ,

a = -7 , b = 7 ,

where a = -7 is x - intercept , and

b = 7 is y - intercept .[ see the attachment ]

iii ) line making angle with X axis

From ,

In ∆AOB , <O = 90°

Tan A = OB/AO

= 7/( (-7 )

= -1

= - tan 45°

= tan( 180 - 45 )

tan A = tan ( 180 - 45 )

A = 135°
