The issue of equality is impoetant in democracy very much. What does equality means in terms of democracy:

The Equality means that providing equal oppurtunities to all sects of people. The equality in democracy does not mean that to make rich and poor equal. It just mean to provide equal oppurtunity so that everybody has a chance to become something. As it is said that If you are born poor than it is not your mistake but if you die poor its your mistake.

So this statement justifies the whole concept of equality in democracy.
