it is a desired to obtain An erect image of an object using concave mirror of focal length of 12 cm what should be range of distance of an object placed in front of mirror

1. Concave mirror form a virtual and erect image, when object is placed at a distance less than the focal length of the mirror. So, Object should be placed between the pole and focus of concave mirror that is at a distance less than the 12 cm from the mirror.

2. The image will be larger than the object.

When object is placed at a distance of 24 cm in front of the mirror, then image also will be at 24 cm in front of the mirror. But, the image will be inverted. Ray diagram is given below.

Hi...

An erect image is formed by a concave mirror only if the object is placed between the pole and the focus...

In this case the image will be erect, virtual and lager than the object.

So the range should be from 0cm to 12cm away from the mirror.
