it is common observation that our breath air is warmer than air around us, does respiration have anything to do wuth this?

The air which we inhale should be at our body temperature, if its not than severe damages can be done in respiratory tract. Air is brought at our body temp by moisturizing it.
So, it is mandatory the air should be at our body temperature. While we exhale it get little more warm due to waste i.e. CO2, etc present in it.

The other answers are right, of course. What you exhale, whether it is exactly the same breath you took or not, is at roughly body temperature just before you exhale it. But as I said in a recent post in an answer to a very different question, the temperature of the exhaled air, if you exhale it through your mouth, depends on how you exhale it.
