Any oscillation in which the amplitude of the oscillating quantity decreases with time. Also known as damped vibration. dampedharmonic motion.
here from the figures we can identify that:-
amplitude of the ocsillation os decreasing with time
Note:In a damped oscillator the amplitude of oscillation decreases on each oscillation. ... The damping force, however, reduces the speed to exactly counteract this effect. Thus the period and frequency of a damped oscillator are constant throughout its motion
hope this will help u.. :-)
