It is dangerous to raise unberella during storm . Why?

Most umbrellas have a metal rod as the staff which supports the covering . it protudes through the covering at the top . one holds the other end . walking around with one during a thunderstorm is as dangerous as carrying a mini light rod , because lightning could be attracted by it .
