because according to Archimedes law a body in water loses that much weight that much is displaced by the body so it becomes lighter and easy to lift

When we lift a stone under water, the buoyancy acting on the stone reduces the gravitational force acting on it. As a result we feel less weight. Whereas when we lift the same stone outside water we feel greater weight because the buoyancy of air is much smaller than water. As a result because of the gravitational force acting on it, the stone is felt having greater weight.
