It is easier to pull out a wheat and maize plant but difficult to pull out tomato and brinjal plant because -

• Now greater the size and depth of root, greater the amount of attachment of the plant with the soil.

• Similarly,the roots of wheat and maize are weak than the roots of the tomato or brinjal.
