•Kittur Rani Chennamma who was a great Indian freedom fighter and was the first woman activist who fought for the freedom of India against British.
•Onake Obavva was a brave woman who fought against Hyder Ali in Chitradurga.
•Salumaradha Thimmaka ,an Indian environmentalist who did a great job by planting trees in the roadside to control pollution .
•Sudha Murthy who is a greatest entrepreneur today and a person who motivates younger generation.
•These are sufficient examples to prove that a woman"s role has been very important in the progress of India.
