tennis ball is less in weight than cricket ball so tennis ball is easy to stop than a cricket ball though both travel in same velocity
or
simple. cricket ball is heavier than a tennis ball so it takes a greater force to bring the cricket ball into velocity x (say) than the tennis ball. hence, it takes a greater force to stop the cricket ball than the tennis ball

The amount of ease with which an object can be stopped depends on the momentum and not just the velocity of the object. Since momentum is the product of mass and velocity, we need to take mass into account as well. As the cricket ball is heavier, the momentum of cricket ball is much more than that of the tennis ball. So it is easier to stop a tennis ball as compared to cricket ball.
