Effective resistance = 8 + ( 1 / 5 + 1 / 4 + 1 / 3 ) ohm
= 8 + { ( 12 + 15 + 20 ) / 60 } ohm
= 8 + { 47/ 60 } ohm
= 480 + 47 / 60 ohm
= 527 / 60 ohm

Wrong....5 and 4 ohm are in series which gives 9 ohm...9 ohm and 3 ohm are in parallel which gives 2.25 ohm ... Finally , 8 ohm and 2.25 ohm are in series which give Sathe answer 10.25 ohm
