It is from linear equation

The length of a rectangle is 2 cm more than its breadth. If the perimeter of the rectangle is 28 cm, find the length.

The Answer will be Length = 8cm; Breadth = 6cm

Answer:

LET THE LENGTH BE X+2 AND BREADTH BE X

PERIMETER=28

=2(LENGTH + BREADTH) =28

=2(X+X+2) =28

=2(2X+2)=28

4X+4=28

=4X=28-4

=X=24/4

=X=6

LENGTH=X+2=8

BREADTH=X=6
