This is phenomenon the phenomenon of sea breeze and land breeze.
Sea breeze is the phenomenon of air blowing from sea to land in the morning making land a warmer place due to high pressure in air above the sea level. The condition reverses during night and the air blows back towards the sea in night as the pressure above the sea decreases. The reverse phenomenon is known as land breeze.
This phenomenon needn't occur only in sea but in air between any landmass and water bodyAir always flows from high pressure to lower pressureTemprature is inversely proportional to pressure I.e where pressure is high temp. is low and where pressure is low temp. is high
Beyond the few other reasons are climatic conditions of the place, presence and absence of heat source - the sun and the presence of the natural coolant the moon etc.
Thus making nights cooler than days.
