b ) effective Resistance of the circuit is 25 ohm

c ) Current in the Circuit is 0.4 Ampere

Explanation:

Given : Resistor 1 ( R1 ) = 5ohm

Resistor 2 ( R2 ) = 20 ohm

Potential difference ( V ) = 10V

To find : 1) effective Resistance of the circuit.

2) Current in the Circuit

Formula : Effective Resistance = R1 + R2

Reff = 5ohm + 20ohm

Reff = 25 ohm

The Effective Resistance of the Circuit is 25 ohm

Also,

I = V / Reff

Where ,

I = Current

V = Voltage Applied

Reff = Effective Resistance

Substituting the value in above formula,

I = 10V / 25

I = 0.4 A
