It is given that thyroid gland indirectly affects the growth and differentiation of tissues. isnt this the function of pitutarygland(which secrets growth hormone). and one more thing why is thyroid gland also called the personality gland, does it affect our personality?

yes, it affect in our personality in adolescent age. Due to this personality gland some human become thin,fat,pale in colour etc.
