It is 'Malaria free Mumbai' week in your city. But according to the lastest survey through an NGO , your area has seen most of Malaria affected patients in the last one month . You have to write a letter to the Editor of'Mumbai Daily' newspaper, drawing his attention to the'alarming call' in your locality with the help of following points: *Uncleared garbage pile in the your locality from many days . * Municipal authorities failed to clear the waste. * People are also least concerned about the situation ( for std 10th)

Subject: Prevention of mosquito-borne diseases and the continuing apathy of the authorities.

Sir:

Respectfully I wish to bring to your kind notice the poor state of water stagnation caused by poor sewage, garbage piles, and faulty drainage system in our colony. Last year mosquito-borne diseases such as malaria, dengue, and chikungunya took heavy toll of human life. There were 20 fatalities recorded. Your good self had promised to get the sewage and drainage system repaired. However, in spite of repeated requests, reminders and complaints, no action has been taken to relive us of our distress.  We the residents have taken all the measures such as not allowing any water to stagnate in or around our houses in any form. But the water stagnated on the roads is beyond our power!

I on behalf of the residents of the entire colony appeal to you to bring the matter to the attention of the concerned authorities so that preventive measures can be initiated. We have written many complaints but to no avail. Kindly help us.

Yours truly,

Manish Sharma

Respected Sir/Madam,

I live in xxx area of Mumbai. The roads are narrow and the houses are really close to each other. The garbage is just scattered in the road and foul smell is emerging from the wastes. As we experience rain this season, the garbage in the roads are just washed away by the rains into the houses.

This results in a unhygienic condition and prone to many water borne diseases. This also provides a favorable condition for mosquito to breed and so increasing the chances of malaria.

According to the latest survey, this area has seen most of Malaria affected patients in the last one month. There were no actions taken by the municipal government to clear the wastes even though several complaints had been made.

I kindly request you to publish an article/take necessary action for this discomfort experienced by us.

Thank You

Yours Respectfully,
