it is much easier to burst an inflated balloon with a needle than by a finger. why?

The needle tip has a very low area. So even a small amount of force can create very high pressure at the contact point with the tip. On the other hand, our finger has a large area at its tip and requires a large force to create the same pressure as the needle.

Hence it is easier to burst the balloon with a needle because we can create a high pressure at its tip easily which can burst the balloon.

It is much easier to burst an inflated balloon with a needle than by a finger because the needle exerts more pressure than the nail on the balloon since its tip is  pointed pressure is greater.
