Answer:

V = L A   where volume = length * area

V/t = L A / t  = (L / t) A = A v   where = speed of water

440 / 10 = 7 A

A = 44 / 7  = 2 * pi    accuracy to given significant figures

A = pi R^2

R^2 = 2 * pi / pi = 2

R = 2^1/2 = 1.41 m
