Radius of tank = 140/ 2 = 70cm = 0.7 m

height of tank = 1m

we need to make a closed tank

therefore

TSA of cylinder = 2πr (r + h)

= 2 × 22/7 × 0.7 (0.7 + 1)

= 44 × 0.1 × 1.7

= 7.48 m^2

Ans. 7.48 m^2 metal sheet is required.
