Given diameter = 140cm, then the radius will be 70cm = 0.7m.

Area of a sheet required = 2pir(r+h)

                                          = 2 * 22/7 * 0.7(0.7 + 1)

                                          = 2 * 22  * 0.1(1.7)

                                          = 7.48m^2.

Hope this helps!

its so simple, first convert cm in m and then apply the formula of total surface area of cylinder:
h=1m
d=140cm=1.4m
r=1.4/2=0.7m
T.S.A. of cylinder=2πr(r+h)
=2×22/7×0.7(0.7+1)
=44/7×7/10(1.07)
=44/10×1.07
=47.08/10
=4.708m^2
