It is required to reduce heat loss from a furnace wall by increasing the thickness of brick work by 50%. The temperature of inner surface of brickwork is 600c and ambient is at 40c. The temperature at the outer surface before increasing the wall thickness was 250c. Calculate the percentage decrease in heat loss.
