Given:AE=25cm

AD=17cm

Area=200cm

Solution:

Area of a parallelogram:base×altitude

200=AB×DE

200=25×DE

DE=200/25

DE=8cm

According to Pythagoras theorem

(AD)^2=(AE)^2+(DE)^2

17^2=(AE)^2+8^2

289=(AE)^2+64

(AE)^2=289-64

AE=√225

AE=15cm


AB=AE+EB

25=15+EB

EB=25-15=10cm


Thus, AE=15cm

EB=10cm
