By splitting the middle term
we have to split middle term that is 6x in such way so that thier difference would be 6 and their product would be the product of 1st and last term i.e, 4 and 28

=>. 4x²-(14-8)x-28
=4x²-14x+8x-28
Taking common

2x(2x-7)+4(2x-7)
=>(2x-7)(2x+4)

Hope it will help you.
