It is written in my science book that in the definition of Asexual reproduction that individuals are not produced by seed or spores . but in vegetative propagation which is a type of asexual reproduction that spore also give birth to new individuals. How it is possible ?

the spores are thick walled microscopic asexually reproducting bodies.They are carried by wind and keep floating in air.They germinate when they find a suitable medium go grow.ex-moses and ferns also reproduce by production of spores.

it is written in my book that plants reproduce asexually by spore formation,fragmentation, and vegetative propagation.

the definition in my reader of asexual reproduction is like this...

IN ASEXUAL REPRODUCTION, A SINGLE PARENT PRODUCES OFFSPRING WITHOUT FORMING GAMETES. SINCE IT INVOLVES ONLY ONE PARENT,THE OFFSPRINGS ARE IDENTICAL TO THE PARENT.

so in the sence indivisuals can be produced by seeds or spores...
