'It may be reasonable to expect from a democracy a government that is attentive to the needs demands of the people and is largely free of corruption.' Explain this statement in three points.

a. Democracy establishes equality both politically, socially and economically formally or in principle there is a lot that needs to done in reality where people lack still economic and social equality and continue to face discrimination.
b.  Majority of the population continue to live in a condition of abject poverty struggling to manage even there basic necessities of life. It fails to satisfy most of the needs of the people.
c. Democracies track record with regard to economic development has not been very impressive. It is believed political instability, delays in decision making along with factors like population growth, poverty leads to economic underdevelopment.
