It's difficult to burn a heap of green leaves but dry leaves catch fire easily. Explain.

it is difficult to burn the heap of green leaves as in green leaves are wet inside it as well as their is on water in dry leaves.So it burnt easily as well as green leaves.

Any thing catches fire when it is heated up to it's ignition temperature .

The ignition temperature of dry leaf is very low so it catches fire easily .

But, when we have green leaf .It contains water .

Water contain in green leaf is first evaporated when leaf is heated after which leaf catches fire , due to this reason ignition temperature of green leaf beacome higher than that of dry leaf so it is to burn green leaf.
