Answer :

We are able to see our image in the mirror due to light only as the light falls on the mirror and come back then our retina catches the light and as a result we are able to see our image in the mirror. Light acts on each and every kind if object let it be regular or irregular, circular or flat and more on all kinds of things including humans, plants, animals, industries and much more. So, this is not true that light can't act on a frictional or a friction less object like mirror.
