A time period of a pendulum is the time taken by the bob of the pendulum to cover the distance from from its mean position to an extreme point, then another and back to mean position.

0.2s is the time taken by the bob to move from the mean position to an extreme position.
This distance (from mean to extreme) is covered by the bob four times during its time period.
Therefore, the time period of the pendulum will be 0.2 times 4 which will be equal to 0.8s

Anonymous: bro not from extrme to other extreme and back to mean but mean to extreme then mean then extreme then mean !!
Anonymous: you said for a 3/4 og a time period
astitvastitva: A pendulum always starts from its mean position therefore it is understood. It's not a primary school where you need to start from scratch.
Harshitaraj1518: Thanks both of you but I am not a primary school child so its understood

see in a complete time period one pendulum compete one vibration and one vibration is shown in picture and its said that form mean to extreme its takes 0.2 so time period is
(0.2+0.2) one side (0.2+0.2) other time period is 0.8 sec
