Here we have three quantities

i.e number of workers(m) , number

of hours per day(H) and number

of days(D)

case 1:

m1 = 10

d1 = 5

h1 = 2

case 2 :

m2 = 2

d2 = ?

h2 = 5

We know that,

m2*d2*h2 = m1*d1*h1

=> 2×d2 × 5 = 10×5×2

=> d2 = (10×5×2)/(2×5)

After cancellation, we get

=> d2= 10

Therefore,

2 people working 5 hours a day

finish the work in 10 days
