Daphne can assemble  17 model plane

Step-by-step explanation:

8 hour work

1 hr = 60 mins

=> 8 hrs = 8 * 60 = 480 mins

Lunch break = 30 min

other break = 15 min

Time to make  a plane = 25 mins

=>  25 p  ≤ 480 - 30 -15

=> 25 p  ≤ 435

=> p  ≤ 435/25

=> p  ≤ 17.4

Hence Daphne can assemble  17 model plane

Hence, the number of planes arranged by Daphne in the working day is 17.

Step-by-step explanation:

Given:

It takes Daphne 25 minutes to assemble a model plane. During her work day Daphne takes 30 minutes for lunch and 15 minute break. What would be the inequality of the number of planes, p, she can assemble in her 8 hour work day.

Solution:

Number of hours in a work day = 8

Break taken by her = 30 + 15 = 45 minutes.

No of hours worked = 8 hrs – 45 min = 7 hrs 15 minutes = 435 minutes.

Time taken to assemble a plane = 25 minutes.

No of planes assembled in the work day = = 17.4

Result:

Hence, the number of planes arranged by Daphne in the working day is 17.
