please ask full question

well two vectors are parallel when their scalar component are in ratio.

example vector a = xi +yj +zk

vector b = pi +yj+zk

vector a and b are parallel when

 \frac{x}{p} = \frac{y}{q} = \frac{z}{r} = k

where k is any real number

Method 2

vector cross product of a and b is zero

that is axb=0
