It was a bright cold day in April and the clocks were striking thirteen, Mohan looked up at the sky. Then he looked at the town tower clock. The sun was not to be seen because the sky was cloudy. Mohan was coming home from school as usual. For the past 10 years he had returned from school and heard the same clock chime ding dong just once to say 1 o'clock.
But today it went ding dong, ding dong, ding dong ..... 13 times, Mohan counted. He was almost out of breath when he said 12 ..... 13. All the people walking on the street stood still. Everyone was looking at the clock in surprise.
