It was Saturday and my parents were not at home. Being alone I could not sleep peacefully so I went to the balcony and started looking at the sky which was full of stars. I was feeling a little lonely too because it was the first time when I was alone at home. I wanted to get a rid of that loneliness but there was probably none. I was sitting in my balcony that suddenly I saw a cat, she was very cute and she seemed to be not well. She just came near to my feet and held them tightly. She was too adorable that I could not stop myself and carried her in my arms and came back into my room. I tried to see that what had happened with her that suddenly I saw that she was injured and blood was coming out from her hand, It was very painful for her and I was also not able to see her in that situation. I provided her adequate care and tried to help her in any possible way. She was very tired, so I tried to make her sleep and she slept after some time. I was feeling great now and I realized that I had completely forgotten about my loneliness and that was because of that cat. She accompanied me and made me feel really nice. I was not alone anymore. I was watching her and was thinking that she is suffering from so much pain but still sleeping with so much relaxation, That relaxation of her made me to sleep as well and I also slept without feeling lonely and sad.
It was Sunday and my parents were not at home. Being alone I could not sleep peacefully. To make matters worse there was an outage. I went to the kitchen and as I lighted the candle suddenly I saw a scorpion crawling across the floor and hid under the bed. I jumped onto the bed out of fear. Scorpions scared me to death. I had a creeping feeling that the scorpion would climb up the wall and sting me.
So I was on tenterhooks until my parents returned. Actually they had gone to attend a wedding party. I had opted out to stay back at home to watch my favourite reality show on TV. Unfortunately, the weather got rough followed by torrential rain. The outage had made things worse. I was scared of the dark so, I did not go out to start the generator.
The sight of the scorpion inside the room had curdled my blood. It was at midnight that I heard the familiar horn of my father’s car. No sooner had I heard the horn than I scampered to the gate and opened it. As soon as my family entered the house, I told them the tale of my woes. My father bent and with the torch saw under the bed. In the farthest corner lay the scary scorpion crouching sticking to the bedpost. My father used a broom to throw the scorpion out. I relieved a sigh of relief. I resolved I would never stay alone at home in future.
