It was Sunday and i was solving some tricky mathematical problem when suddenly i heard a noise in the street. I raised to the spot and found that someone was screaming downstairs.
It was my servant. I knew that my parents were gone out of town, so it couldn't have been anyone else. I wanted to rush downstairs, screaming, but what stopped me in my tracks was the sound of a man threatening to kill my servant, on the account of him making any noise.
Thinking of a way out, i tried to keep as quiet as possible, making my way towards my parents' bedroom, which was a hallway away.
Three people walked past the lower hallway which was visible from where i was standing.
i ran to my parents room, however my crawling on the floor swiftly is what i considered running at that moment.
I called 911 and gave them my address, that's when i heard someone creeping up the stairs. I hid in the closet, until i heard someone open the door.
Exactly at that time, the police siren was heard. I breathe a sign of relief as the robbers made their way out. I will never forget this incident, where my bravery was tested.
