4a - 9b = 1

                 

10a = 7

a = 7/10 ............(3)

(3) in (1)

7/5 + 3b = 2

3b = 2 - 7/5

3b = 3/5

b = 1/5.

But $\frac{1}{\sqrt{x} }=a=\frac{7}{10}$ ⇒ x = 100/49.

Similarly  y = 25.
