vertbrates have a backbone or spinal column whereas invertebrates have no backbone.They are stronger, faster and mostly bigger than the invertebrates whereas Invertebrates tend to be small and slow moving. 2percent of animal species are vertebrates wheares 98percent are invertebrates. vertebrates are classified into 5 groups whereas invertebrates classified into 30 phylla. example of vertibrates are humans, birds, mammals etc whereas examples of invertebrates are insects, flatworms, flies etc
