The diameter of a sphere is decreased by 25% By what per cent does its curved surface area decrease?

25% = 1/4
here , 4 unit is initial value ,
change by 1
then finally become 4-1= 3
initial = 4×4 = 16
final = 3×3 = 9
% decrease in area = (16-9)/16×100=7/16×100
= 700/16= 43.75 % will be the answer
