Jack is twice as old as jill, but in five years time he will only be one and a half times as old. How old are jack and jill now?

let jills age be x  then jack = 2x

2x + 5 = 1\frac{1}{2}( x + 5 )

2x + 5 = 3x/2 + 15/2

2x - 3x/2 = 15/2 - 5

x/2 = 5/2

x = 5

jill is 5 years

jack is 2*5 = 10 years
