Given,

⅗th of the workers get Rs. 50

Rest of the workers get Rs. 40

To find,

Total amount of distributed salary in a month.

Solution,

We can simply solve this mathematical problem by using the following mathematical process.

Number of workers getting Rs. 50 monthly

= 10 × ⅗

= 6

Total amount distributed among the workers who get Rs. 50 monthly

= (6×50)

= Rs. 300

Rest of workers = (10-6) = 4

Total amount distributed among the rest of the workers

= (4×40)

= Rs. 160

Total distributed salary = (300+160) = Rs. 460

Hence, the total distributed salary is Rs. 460
