Step-by-step explanation:

Let Jack's present Age be J

Jack's father present Age is F

Raman's present age is R

Jack's present age is one fourth of his father's age two years ago. J = (F-2)/4 -----(1)

Jack's father's age will be twice Raman's age after 10 years. F+10 = 2(R+10)

=> (F+10)/2 = R+10

=> F/2 - 5 = R --------(2)

If Raman's 12th birthday was celebrated 2 years ago. R-2 = 12 => R = 14 -------(3)

Putting Value of R in equation 2

F/2 - 5 = 14

F/2 = 19

F = 38 -------(4)

Putting value of F in equation 1

J = (F-2)/4

J = 36/4

J = 9

9years

The present is of Ramen is 14 years.

After 10 year age of Ramen = 10+14=24 years

after 10 years age of father= 2× 24 = 48years

so present age of father= 48-10=38years

so 2 year ago father's age= 38-2=36years.

so present age of Jack = 36/4 =9 years. Answer
