Jallianwala Bagh Massacre
Protests and agitations carried out throughout the
country against the Rowlatt Act were suppressed by
the British government. One such meeting was to
be held in Amritsar on April 13. 1919 at Jallianwala
Bagh. Around 10,000 people had gathered in the
Bagh which had a very narrow exit. Brig. Gen. Dyer
ordered his troops to fire at the unarmed crowd.
Though an official report claims that around 379
people died and 1200 were injured, the actual
numbers are believed to be much more.
Soon after, Martial Law was declared and Indians
were forced into many humiliating situations. They
were made to crawl on their stomachs in front of
Europeans, etc. The brutal force used by the British
at Jallianwala Bagh had stunned the nation and
Gandhiji called off the Satyagraha on April 18, 1919. My question is that I will give one topic to you in that topic you will write one script please help me
