Answer:

The ball @41.67m/s

Explanation:

55.56

-41.67

_____

13.89

difference between speeds

and has a difference between 2 sec so the 1st ball will come first

Sorry for answering late.

Answer:

1st ball

Explanation:

For the problem of sort - a ball is thrown up with certain velocity. What is the time taken by it to reach the ground, we have a formula.

When an object is thrown up, the total time it is in air, means the time it took go up+ the time it took to come down again, s=is termed as TIME OF FLIGHT.

So now, to answer your question, we will find the time of flight for 1st ball separately and for 2nd ball separately. And then we will see which ball's time is less, and you will get your answer.

The formula for finding time of flight is :

T = 2u/g

where, u = initial velocity of ball

 and g =acceleration due to gravity = 9.8 m/s^2

i) For first ball, u = 41.67

  T = 2(41.67)/9.8

 T = 83.34/9.8

   T = 8.5 sec

ii) For second ball, u = 55.56

 SO, T = 2(55.56)/9.8

           T = 111.12/9.8

      T = 11.33

 But, since the second ball is released two seconds later, we add two seconds to the time period. So time period of 2nd ball = 13.33 sec.

AS you can see, the first ball have less time. So it will reach the ground faster.

Hope you understood. Thank you. Have a nice day.
