=> Let the age of jannat be (x+6). [ 6 years older means 6 added to her younger sister's age]

=> After 10 years, [Simply add 10 to both the ages as it's ten years "after"]

=> Age of jannat's younger sister will be (x+10) and Age of jannat will be (x+6+10).

=> Therefore as given in the question, after 10 years their sum of the ages will be 50:

(x+10) +(x+6+10) = 50

2x +26 =50

2x = 50-26

2x =24

x = 24 /2 =12

x=12

=> The present age of jannat's younger sister is 12( x) and jannat is 18 (x+6).


Ans: 12 years and 18 years.
