The more road rollers that must be used to finish the work on schedule = 25

Step-by-step explanation:

Remaining road length = 1000 - 448 = 552

Remaining days = 50 - 27 = 23

56 road rollers construct in 27 days road length = 448 m

1 road roller will construct in 27 days road length = 448/56 = 8 m

1 road roller will construct in 1 day road length = 8/27 m

8/27 m road is constructed in 1 day by road rollers = 1

1 m road is constructed in 1 day by road rollers = 27/8

552 m road is constructed in 1 day by road rollers = 27/8 × 552 = 1863

552 m road is constructed in 23 days by road rollers = 1863/23 = 81

Extra road rollers required = 81 - 56 = 25
