Solution :-

since point (3, 2) lies on the graph of the equation 5x + ay = 19 .

Putting given values of x as 3 and y as 2 in given equation we get,

→ 5x + ay = 19

→ 5 * 3 + 2 * a = 19

→ 15 + 2a = 19

taking 15 to the RHS side and changing the sign,

→ 2a = 19 - 15

→ 2a = 4

dividing both sides by 2,

→ a = 2

hence, value of a is equal to 2 .
